Tachometers
Use with the VC3000DAQ, VC3000PC and VC4000DAQ.
Coil Tach - Connects to the low tension side (-) of any
coil or tachometer output wire. Will work on any engine with a coil.
Any 7V to 42V signal will trigger it and the frequency is set
through software.
Inductive Tach - Clamps onto any spark plug wire.
Works well on distributor ignition systems. May be erratic on
some distributor-less ignition systems.
Magnetic Tach - Uses a reed switch to sense the presence
of rotating magnets. May be used for drive shaft RPM, wheel rotation RPM or for
diesel applications.
